Easter with Autism.
It seems simple and can be if you plan with realistic limits in mind. Church is out for this family. It seems overwhelming to him to have all the Easter Sunday crowd in attendance. So, what do I do? I feel guilty for not attending on the biggest day celebrated in my religious belief. I have to get over it, I bring myself to talking about the story of Jesus with my children even if they don't fully understand. We plan a meal with care... this is after all a day to celebrate. But, do we have family or friends over?
No.
Through the years we have found ourselves alone. Our family is just us.
Maybe in future we will have connections and celebrations with others.
